Fixes

  • Altered Grey Aura's formatting and description text specifically when hovered over as a status in battle.
    • The Ability itself works as intended, but its name and damage variable weren't bolded, and the description incorrectly described the Ability's damage to be only True Damage for the Incarnate. (The latter being because that's how it used to work, and I overlooked changing that description.)
  • The Ability menu will no longer start open in the following battle if you previously defeated an Incarnate with it open.
  • Fixed being prompted to buy a held item when already at max, AND fixed being unable to buy not held items when at maximum held items.
    • An if statement that should have been written as "==" was written as "!=", so the opposite of what was intended in both scenarios was happening.
  • Fixed held items you already owned appearing in the shop again. (Excluding "Ignis' Novelty Coin".)
  • (Hopefully) fixed an error regarding a screen being unable to show a displayable upon pressing Start after first playing the Tutorial.
    • I say hopefully because I never encountered it myself and have been unable to reproduce it on my own computer. I'm kind of just guessing at what the issue really was and hoping my fix was correct.

Known Issues

(Combining with the issues in my first post for my own ease of access)

  • In the Sinner select screen, hovering over one option, then hovering over another option at a certain speed will cause the new option's description text to not appear.
    • This is due to the confirm button's existence, but I'm not sure how I'd fix this as it appears to be a problem with Ren'Py itself not catching up fast enough. It's also easily solvable on the player's end, so not high priority.
  • Pride, Wrath, Greed and Lust's locked icons have visible white marks.
  • Intrusion's icon in the Incarnate select screen uses her wiggly sprite for the hands.
  • The shop item descriptions are wildly inconsistent in size and placement. Right now, I have to size and place each string of text manually. Hopefully upon the shop's rework, I will have found a cleaner method for that...
  • Time's eyes are not separate from the rest of her sprite.
    • The other two's eyes were made separate (so that their lineart doesn't do the wiggly thing) and I want this to be consistent. Don't ask me why because I don't know either.
  • Intrusion's text where she blocks the player's Abilities will continue to happen even when all are blocked.
  • Ability descriptions sometimes remain visible into the following screens after winning a battle.

Planned Additions

  • A skip button for the Ability menu.
  • Make the game start quieter by default.
  • Description text for Ability types, in this case "True Damage" and "Aura" Abilities, that go more in-depth on their generalized behavior. I was going to save this for a glossary menu, but I think this is more convenient, especially in the mean time. (Although, it might be a headache to actually implement, we'll see...)
